Mallorca suffer Victor injury blow
Real Mallorca midfielder Joao Victor is facing up to seven months on the sidelines after damaging knee ligaments.
The Brazilian picked up the knock during a 2-1 defeat to Granada on Sunday.
He lasted just 15 minutes of that contest before being forced from the field.
Medical tests have now revealed the full extent of the injury and Victor has been informed that his 2012/13 campaign is over.
"Tests have confirmed that Joao Victor, who had to go off during Sunday's game against Granada, has ruptured the cruciate ligament in his right knee," read a statement released by Mallorca.
"This type of injury requires between six and seven months' recuperation."
Victor becomes the third Mallorca player to be sidelined since the start of the season, with untimely blows having already been picked up by Javi Marquez, Nunes and Antonio Lopez.
