Madrid emerges stronger after defeat at Barcelona

Despite losing the Spanish "clasico" and the league lead to its arch rival, Real Madrid is taking some positives from its 1-0 defeat at Barcelona.

Madrid played perhaps its best game of the season and, in the words of coach Manuel Pellegrini, should have left the Camp Nou with a better result if not for some missed opportunities by Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, two of its new galacticos.
