Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas says the club have reached an agreement with Jimmy Briand over the signing of the Rennes striker.

Aulas says France international Briand will travel to Lyon on June 15 to undergo a medical, and hopes to secure the player on a four-year deal.

``We've already reached an agreement with him,'' Aulas said on Tuesday. ``There are just a few details left to iron out with Rennes.''

The 24-year-old Briand was named in France's provisional 30-man World Cup squad but did not make the final cut.

He missed the start of last season because of a knee injury, and went on to score five goals in 23 matches.
