Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Agger had to be substituted in a 2-1 loss at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday and manager Kenny Dalglish said Wednesday he will be sidelined for at least two months.

Dalglish said the Denmark defender ''has a problem with the tendon behind his knee and won't be involved again this season.''

Dalglish said fellow defender Glen Johnson will also be out for up to four weeks with a hamstring problem, while captain Steven Gerrard's fitness will be assessed at the end of the week.
