LONDON (AP) Liverpool and its playmaker Philippe Coutinho were named the team and player of the week in the Associated Press Global Football 10 on Tuesday after beating Chelsea 3-1 in the Premier League.

Coutinho scored twice in Liverpool's comeback victory at Stamford Bridge at the weekend and enters the player vote for the first time this season.

''Impressive performance by Philippe Coutinho at Stamford Bridge, he scored a remarkable double and helped Juergen Klopp to get his first win in a Premier League game,'' Aurelio Capaldi of RAI Sport in Italy said. ''I guess some people at Inter Milan are regretting the choice to sell the Brazilian to the Reds.''

Everton striker Aruna Kone is also a newcomer in the top 10, coming second after scoring a hat trick as his team thrashed Sunderland 6-2.

Marco Reus is third for scoring twice to lead Borussia Dortmund to a 3-1 victory at Werder Bremen in the German Bundesliga.

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez is fourth after his goal against Getafe helped his team to a 2-0 victory.

Leicester midfielder Riyad Mahrez enters the poll in fifth after his two goals led Leicester to a 3-2 Premier League win against West Bromwich Albion, a win which moved his team about Manchester United and into third in the standings.

Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Yoshinori Muto, Iago Aspas and Juan Cuadrado round out the top 10 players of the week.

Everton is runner up to Liverpool in the team vote, while Dortmund was third for continuing its impressive from under new manager Thomas Tuchel, beating second-tier Paderborn 7-1 in the German Cup before the win against Bremen.

''Ten goals in two matches are reflective of a team high on confidence and playing high-octane attacking football,'' Umaid Wasim of Dawn Newspaper in Pakistan said. ''Seven of those goals might have come against second-division Paderborn in the German Cup but Borussia Dortmund's exploits this week took their tally to 64 goals from 20 matches this season.''

Arsenal took fourth for winning 3-0 at Swansea to stay level on points with Manchester City at the summit of the Premier League, while Real Madrid was fifth after a 3-1 triumph at home against Las Palmas in the Spanish league.

Borussia Moenchengladbach, Fiorentina, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Manchester City complete the top 10 teams of the week.
