Latvia beats Malta in Euro qualifier

Latvia scored a goal in each half to beat Malta 2-0 in a European Championship qualifier on Tuesday.

Kaspars Gorkss put the visitors in front in the 42nd minute, and Maris Verpakovskis doubled the lead in the 85th.

Latvia earned its first three points in Group F, while Malta remained without any points following its second loss.
