Hussain Al Mousawi's early goal gave Kuwait a 1-0 win over Iraq in an international friendly played Tuesday in the neutral venue of Sharjah.
Al Mousawi smashed the ball beyind goalkeeper Mohammed Gassid and into the roof of the net in the second minute.
Iraq missed a penalty seven minutes later after Naser Al Waheeb had brought down Alaa Abdul-Zahra in the area, Emad Mohammed firing straight at goalkeeper Nawaf Al Khaldi.
Also Tuesday at Khalid Bin Mohammed Stadium, Jordan drew 1-1 with North Korea. Hassan Abdel Fattah's deflected 29th-minute shot for Jordan was canceled out three minutes later by substitute Pak Song-Chol.
