Kompany: City up for CL battle

The City skipper knows they must beat the German outfit, who are already through to the knock-out stages, and hope that rockbottom Villarreal get at least draw when they host second-placed Napoli. His side have yet to taste defeat as runaway leaders of the Premier League but have failed to show the same blistering form on European evenings. And the 25-year-old called on his team mates to turn on the style and make it a night to remember at the Etihad. "Any team coming here is not going to be favourites," he said. "I don't care who they are. "Bayern are a team that know each other very well. They have played together for a long time and have a habit of being in these big occasions so we can't underestimate the fact that they will be ready. "But it will be a special night, and with the players we have, we are capable of anything. "Receiving Bayern Munich at the Etihad is something that hasn't happened for a long time so we should show respect to the moment and make a special night of it. "The mood is good. We had a good result at Anfield and a great one at the Emirates so we couldn't be in a better mindset for that game. "We know it will be difficult as Bayern Munich are a difficult side to beat. "I don't even expect them to play a weakened team, because that is the mentality I know. They are that kind of club. "It will be a hard game but we have every reason to still believe in it because Napoli have an equally hard game on their hands. "We believe 100 per cent we can do it."
