Klose back in Germany lineup for England match

Striker Miroslav Klose is back in the Germany lineup for its round of 16 match against England.

Klose was suspended for Germany's 1-0 win over Ghana and replaces Cacau in the German attack. Cacau pulled an abdominal muscle in training, but Klose was expected to get the start anyway.

It was the only change in coach Joachim Loew's lineup. Midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger and defender Jerome Boateng will also start against England. Both were doubtful for Sunday's match after sustaining injuries in the win over Ghana.

For the first time as England coach, Fabio Capello left his lineup unchanged from the previous game, a 1-0 win over Slovenia.

Jermain Defoe, who scored the winner against Slovenia, is paired with Wayne Rooney up front for England. Rooney, who limped off late against Slovenia with an ankle injury, has struggled to find his form so far in South Africa, and has yet to score at the tournament.

David James is in goal for the Three Lions. The 39-year-old 'keeper hasn't conceded a goal since taking over two games ago for Robert Green.

England hasn't beaten three-time champion Germany at the World Cup since a 4-2 victory in the 1966 final.

The winner at Free State Stadium will face either Argentina or Mexico in the quarterfinals in Cape Town on Saturday.
