Norwegian champion Rosenborg said Friday it had secured the transfer of goalkeeper Daniel Orlund from Swedish league winners AIK.

The 29-year-old Swede signed a two-year contract with the Trondheim-based club that begins in January.

"It was a simple choice," Orlund said. "I've had a good run with AIK, but if I wanted to go to a bigger and better club I had to go to Rosenborg."

Rosenborg finished top of Norway's first division this year, while AIK topped the Swedish league.

"I'm here to win Norwegian titles and the goal is, of course, to play in the Champions League," Orlund said.
