Kean: We deserve more points

The Ewood Park side currently find themselves 19th in the Premier League with just six points from their opening 11 matches. Rovers have not enjoyed the easiest of schedules of late and have suffered unfortunate home defeats to the likes of high-flying Tottenham and Chelsea. Kean has been buoyed by the support he has received from visiting players and managers, insisting their performances have merited better results. The Scottish tactician is not dwelling on their poor start to the campaign and he believes his Rovers squad remains strong enough to challenge for a top10 place. "If you look at this season and the way we're playing, we deserve more points," explained Kean in the Daily Record. "And that's coming from speaking to people like Harry (Redknapp). He told me he felt we deserved a point when we lost to Spurs. "Andre Villas-Boas and John Terry also came in to see me after Chelsea beat us. They told us what a tough game we had given them and guys like Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard said the same thing. "I don't think they say that week in, week out to other managers. "I don't look at this season in terms of trying to salvage something. I think we have a good enough squad to be in the top ten. "We'll get thought this little period as we did last season, and we'll be stronger and better for it. You always have to take the longer view. Seasons don't last 10 games. "In one of our last games it was the youngest Blackburn team since 1996. So the future is bright and the owners know that."
