But Kean was quick to defend Hanley, who was making just his sixth Premier League start. "He has played well, he is a good player and he is getting better week-in and week-out," the Rovers boss told the Lancashire Telegraph. "To play against these type of strikers, he has dealt with it well. "He has a bright future and it is a tough one for Grant. "But we have to respect if the referee thinks he has got him in an aggressive manner."
