Kazim-Richards joins Rovers
The Turkey international, who turns 26 this month, joins Rovers with a view to a permanent move.
Blackburn boss Steve Kean is rebuilding his squad following relegation from the Premier League last season and was eager to bring in another striker after new signing Leon Best was ruled out with a long-term knee injury.
Kazim-Richards is Rovers' eighth summer signing ahead of their Championship opener at Ipswich on August 18 and had a trial with West Ham as well as Blackburn this summer.
After spells with Bury and Brighton, Kazim-Richards played for Sheffield United in the Premier League during the 2006/07 season.
Having committed his allegiance to Turkey - his mother is a Turkish Cypriot - Kazim-Richards made his international debut in June 2007 and sealed a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce later that month.
Despite a positive start in Turkey, scoring against Chelsea in the Champions League, Kazim-Richards was loaned to Toulouse during the 2009/10 season and released by Fenerbahce in January 2011.
He then signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with their bitter local rivals Galatasaray but again fell out of favour, going out on loan last season.
The 36-cap striker, who helped Turkey reach the Euro 2008 semi-finals, won the league and cup double with Greek side Olympiakos and has since been looking for a return to England.
