The Senegal international has been given a fresh chance under Mark Hughes following Hodgson's departure to Liverpool in the summer. Kamara found himself out of favour at Craven Cottage last season under Hodgson and spent the second half of last term out on loan at Celtic. The striker, who scored his first goal of the season against Tottenham last weekend, is enjoying life under Hughes and he admits the former Manchester City chief persuaded him to stay in West London. "If Roy Hodgson was still at Fulham, I would have definitely gone," Kamara told the Daily Star. "When Mark Hughes came in, I sat with him in his office and he said, 'You have an opportunity to play and do well' so I decided to stay. "I prefer his more attacking football. I had a good relationship with Hodgson but I prefer Mark Hughes."
