Kaka says Brazil must avoid the off-the-field distractions of 2006
to have a shot at a sixth World Cup title next year in South
Africa.
The Real Madrid playmaker tells the Estado de S. Paulo
newspaper in its weekend edition that the team needs to use its two
weeks of practice time to "gain tranquility and to think about
getting focused."
In 2006, the squad's preparation in the lakeside resort town
in Weggis, Switzerland, was marked by a partying atmosphere that
players say was detrimental to the team's focus. Many observers
blamed that for Brazil's early departure, when it fell to France in
the quarterfinals.
Kaka says he believes Brazil is in the toughest World Cup
group, along with Portugal, Ivory Coast and North Korea.
