Borussia Dortmund midfielder Shinji Kagawa will wait until after the German Cup final before announcing where his future lies.

The Japan international has already told Dortmund he would not be extending his one-year deal, which was confirmed by the club last week.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for the highly-rated midfielder, but the 23-year-old will not confirm anything until after their clash with Bayern Munich.

"I have not taken a decision just now," he told Bild.

"I will only decide after the match against Bayern Munich and it will be after long discussions with my agent."

After it emerged Kagawa would not be signing a new deal, Dortmund's fans have been backing him and he is pleased with how they have reacted.

"I am pleased to get massive support from the Dortmund supporters and the Dortmund crowd in recent weeks. This is just fine, I am enjoying this very much.

"We are now trying to even more win the remaining match against Bayern Munich in the German Cup.

"It would be our fifth straight win against Bayern and would be even more of an icing on the cake.

"To win the Bundesliga and the German Cup in one season would be just great."

Meanwhile, Kagawa rubbished claims he had fallen out with team-mate Robert Lewandowski.

"I do not have any troubles with Robert Lewandowski. I have been surprised by some stories, some of them two weeks ago. Some things are just untrue, but I will learn from those things. I have been talking to Robert about this," he said.

"We have said this is no issue for us and I am just sorry some feel things are bad due to these stories.

"You just need to see those recent matches to know that I enjoy playing alongside Robert as much as playing with all the other players of the team. We have handed each other enough chances to score."
