Juventus' Buffon to miss Pescara match with flu
Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has the flu and will not play in Saturday's Serie A match against Pescara.
Buffon came in for heavy criticism following Juventus' 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal midweek.
On Friday, Juventus coach Antonio Conte said Buffon had the flu after last week's win against Inter Milan ''and it returned when we came back from Munich and he hasn't trained well.''
Conte adds that ''I prefer he gets over the flu once and for all, so (Marco) Storari will play.''
Buffon looked unprepared on Tuesday as David Alaba scored just 25 seconds into their Champions League quarterfinal from far beyond the area.
Afterward, Bayern great Franz Beckenbauer said Buffon looked like a pensioner.
