Title-chasing Ajax were always in control of their semi-final tie and took an 11th-minute lead when Demy de Zeeuw scored after being teed up by Luis Suarez. Marko Pantelic increased the lead seven minutes before half-time and Ajax then scored four goals in the final quarter of an hour to kill off Go Ahead. Siem de Jong made it 3-0 on 75 minutes, and Christian Eriksen and Dennis Rommedahl then scored in the space of 60 seconds. Nicolas Lodeiro completed the rout five minutes from time to send Ajax through to a final showdown on April 25 with Feyenoord, who beat Eredivisie leaders FC Twente on Wednesday.
