Inter boss Jose Mourinho conceded Napoli deserved a point from
their goalless draw on Sunday - but felt his side should have had a
penalty.
Referee Roberto Rosetti turned down appeals for a spot-kick
from the Serie A leaders when Maicon struck the ball against the
raised hand of Salvatore Aronica in the early stages of the game.
"I don't think Napoli deserved to lose the match but there
was a penalty in Inter's favour," said Mourinho on the club's
official website.
"For their play, attitude and aggressiveness, the Napoli
players did not deserve to lose and the draw can be accepted, but
to do this we must forget this very clear penalty.
"And I must forget, otherwise I will be forced to pay another
fine this week."
He continued: "Rosetti's attitude was very good throughout
the game, if we put aside this small, big episode.
"The attitude is the most important thing for me.
"But it's Inter who pay.
"Rosetti made two mistakes with us in Bari and he made
another today.
"It's us who pay for the problems of others.
"Matches like this one tonight are decided by small details."
Mourinho also took the opportunity to hit back at Napoli's
movie-producer president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, who claimed he
would have the Portuguese as an actor in a film but not as manager
of his football club.
Mourinho said: "Perhaps we paid the penalty today because of
that little man who is always talking on TV.
"He said that he would never take me as coach of his team,
but only as an actor in one of his films?
"He has no hope, I have too much class for his level."
De Laurentiis aside, Mourinho was full of praise for Napoli.
"The crowd gives its support and it can be very heated; I
like it when a team has many fans like Napoli has," he said.
"Napoli had some scoring chances, (Fabio) Quagliarella
hitting the post and (German) Denis' chance.
"We hit the woodwork with (Sulley) Muntari and we had another
good chance with a ball that (Goran) Pandev doesn't usually miss,
and there was that penalty we weren't given.
"It was a difficult match but the difficulty was facing a
fast and aggressive team that always does well here at the San
Paolo.
"I prefer not to say that we won because our opponent was the
referee and because the referee didn't see a penalty."
