Jones helps Taylor-Fletcher
Dave Jones has confirmed that former Blackpool forward Gary Taylor-Fletcher is training with Sheffield Wednesday.
The Owls boss announced ahead of the weekend that the experienced frontman is looking to keep himself fit in his search for a new club.
The 32-year-old is currently available as a free agent after seeing out his contract at Bloomfield Road.
Jones has not ruled out the possibility of Taylor-Fletcher landing a permanent deal at Hillsborough, but will be keeping an eye on his situation.
He will not travel to Portugal with the rest of the Owls squad when they head out on their pre-season tour, but could still be drafted into their plans before the 2013/14 campaign gets under way.
Jones told the Sheffield Star: "He's just training with us and we'll see how it goes.
"Gary phoned and asked if he could train here. He was training with Wrexham - why not train with us? There's no harm in it. We're just looking at him."
Meanwhile, Jones has played down the level of his interest in former Bolton striker Kevin Davies - who was linked with a move to Wednesday but has now linked up with League One outfit Preston North End.
He added: "Preston is on Kevin's doorstep and he's got a two-year deal, which probably suits him better.
"It wasn't a definite about us wanting him, we're looking at other players as well."
