Jones could make league debut

Full-back Jones has featured against Bournemouth and Everton in the Carling Cup and played pre-season games against Olympiacos and Southampton after moving from Preston on a free transfer in June. Reid could miss the weekend's clash with a hand injury, but Hodgson believes 24-year-old Jones is ready to make the step up. "He is ready for the Premier League and we believe in him," the Baggies boss told the club's official website. "Right from the first moment we thought we'd done the right thing bringing Billy in - and he's improved. Every time he's played he's had tough games. "On each occasion he's done well and he's getting better and better. We believe in him strongly."
