Johnson made 23 appearances for the Canaries, 19 from the bench, and has scored four times since he joined from Stockport in January 2010.
The 24-year-old also had two loan spells with Yeovil, including at the beginning of this season, before he returned to Carrow Road.
Norwich manager Paul Lambert said in a statement on the club's official website: "Oli was a massive part of our season and promotion from League One and we wish him all the best for the future."
