Jewell: Tractor Boys to drive on
Ipswich boss Paul Jewell is up for the battle as their poor start to the season continues to put pressure on his position.
The Tractor Boys currently sit second from bottom in the Championship with just a single league win this season, although back-to-back draws have given Jewell some breathing space following three successive defeats.
And speaking after Ipswich held high-flying Brighton on Tuesday night, Jewell was quick to dampen any speculation about his future at Portman Road.
"An (Ipswich) fan told me as we were getting off the coach before the match that I should resign, and I told him he was brave saying that," Jewell said.
"I'm a big boy and have been around the block. That kind of talk doesn't bother me. It's clear that the players are giving everything they've got and that's all you can ask.
"Every match in the Championship is a battle. I thought we looked more compact as a team against Brighton than in previous matches and we need to maintain that against Cardiff (on Saturday)."
