Jensen joined Rovers as Steve Kean's assistant in January following Sam Allardyce's departure. The former Arsenal man only agreed a contract until the end of the season, but he is ready to sit down with the club's owners to discuss an extension. "I'd love to extend my contract, but how long a new contract will run and what it would otherwise contain, I cannot comment on," Jensen told bold.dk. "It is up to the board and the new owners to look through it and then come back with an offer of a new contract for me." Jensen is enjoying his time back in English football and he has settled well into his role at Ewood Park. "I am extremely pleased to work in the Premier League and I look forward every day to get out and train the players. "The players have been fantastic to me. It has gone well." Blackburn have found themselves dragged into the relegation fight with last weekend's defeat to Fulham their fifth in their last six outings. However, Jensen is confident they will turn things around as he feels they have been unlucky in a number of games. "Results have not gone our way especially the last one," continued Jensen. "After all, we played some good games where we have not received anything, and then we played two bad games where we did not deserve anything. "It's been a bag of mixed sweets. "One should primarily look at the last match and think I we were penalised. They got a penalty in the last minute that there was no sign of. "We came back twice, and the players showed good work-rate and we deserved one point. "The performances in training have been really good the last couple of weeks and I'm very hopeful. "If we now can show the same performance as we did last Saturday we'll get points and get away from the relegation area. "I am very optimistic."
