Japan midfielder Hajime Hosogai is leaving Bayer Leverkusen for promoted Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin.
Hertha says on its website that the 26-year-old Hosogai signed a four-year deal. Both clubs agreed not to disclose the transfer fee.
Hosogai, who has played 18 internationals for Japan, scored five goals in 98 games for J-League side Urawa Red Diamonds. He joined Leverkusen in 2011 but spent his first season in the Bundesliga on loan at Augsburg, making 39 appearances before returning to Leverkusen and playing 17 league matches.
He is the second Japanese player to join Hertha, following Yasuhiko Okudera's stint from 1980-81.
