Jackett: Stearman staying put

Wolves manager Kenny Jackett is confident that Richard Stearman will remain at Molineux for the 2013/14 campaign.

With Wolves having slipped into League One, a number of players are expected to head out of the club this summer.

The likes of Roger Johnson, Jamie O'Hara, Stephen Ward and Karl Henry have all been made available for transfer, with it important to cut costs and start afresh.

It had been suggested that Stearman could also be heading for the exits, having taken in a productive loan spell at Ipswich Town last season.

The 25-year-old is, however, still under contract at Molineux and part of Jackett's plans heading forward.

The Wolves boss told the Express and Star when asked if Stearman would be staying: "Yes, he has hasn't intimated to me that he wants to leave.

"He's committed to Wolves, definitely."
