Aberdeen's Ryan Jack is fearful that he has suffered a foot injury that could keep him sidelined for the rest of the season.
The midfielder was due to have X-rays in Aberdeen on Monday after it was suspected he had broken a bone in his right foot while on Scotland Under-21 duty.
"I know this is serious. I have done it before," he told the Evening Express.
If confirmed, it will be the third time he has suffered a similar injury in his career.
Jack made his debut against Raith Rovers in 2010 and has made 83 appearances for the club since establishing himself in the first team.
