Japan's J-League has fined Shimizu S-Pulse $25,000 over a banner directed at the team's Iranian-American manager Afshin Ghotbi.
Two teenage fans of Jubilo Iwata draped a banner that read: ''To Ghotbi, stop making nuclear weapons'' at a game between the two clubs on May 28.
Because the game was at Shimizu's home stadium, the J-League decided to fine S-Pulse.
The 47-year-old Ghotbi took over Shimizu after coaching Iran from 2009 to the Asian Cup in Qatar in January.

Iran and the West remain in dispute over its nuclear program. The U.S. and its allies insist it is aimed at developing atomic weapons - a charge Iran rejects.
