The Ivory Coast football federation says it has not chosen a coach to lead the national team at the World Cup.

Federation president Jacques Anouma told reporters at a meeting on Wednesday that he had "not yet signed with a coach".

Dutch national broadcaster NOS reported that Guus Hiddink has agreed a two-month contract before starting his job as Turkey manager.

Media reports in Japan said Philippe Troussier, who has coached Nigeria, South Africa and the Ivory Coast, would lead the Ivorians at the World Cup following the sacking of Vahid Halilhodzic.

Anouma said he had met candidates "but no one has yet been chosen".
