The Spain international, 28, has signed a three-year deal at The Hawthorns after arriving from Atletico Madrid on a free transfer. Barcelona talisman Puyol and England defender John Terry are players he particularly admires. Ibanez explained: "I wouldn't like to talk about myself in terms of being similar to other defenders I've played with, but I really like players like Carles Puyol and Luis Perea, who I've had the honour to play with for Spain and Atletico Madrid respectively. "Looking at the Premier League, I really admire John Terry and Manchester City's Kolo Toure. "Carles, for example, is a great defender who possesses good concentration levels during games. He's also a real help to young players who play with him."
