Without outlining the exact number he hopes to score, the Irishman claims he is more than equipped to finish up with more than his fair share. Hunt, who has struggled with a foot injury since his summer arrival from Hull City, has two league goals to his name and will not be able to contain his delight if he succeeds. "I have targets for where I want to get in terms of goals and stuff like that," he told the Sunday Mercury. "The manager has set me a target as well which he mentioned in a meeting in front of the boys. "My own target was higher than what he set me and if I finish above it I will sing it from the rooftops. "My foot is still not one hundred per cent. It's not as strong as my left foot. It is not as strong as I want to get it," he added. "Once my foot gets stronger, then my quads get stronger and I will get quicker and sharper. Everything will come." Hunt's injury was carried over from his days with the Tigers and he compared it to the injury Aston Villa's Stewart Downing recently recovered from before finding his form with five goals so far this season. Hunt added: "If you can't play for one month through suspension or whatever, you are chasing. To be injured for eight months on top of that, it is frustrating. "It is the exact same injury as Stewart Downing. It has taken him a while but I can't afford a while to get fit. I have to start playing well and start producing for the team."
