Howard aiming to end on a high
The Toffees appeared to be on course for a share of the spoils at Old Trafford over the weekend, only for Javier Hernandez to pounce late on for the league leaders. That setback was Everton's first in eight outings, with a positive run of results having lifted them into seventh place. David Moyes' men now have four games in which to pick up as many points as possible, starting at Wigan on Saturday, and Howard is confident they will finish the campaign on a high. He said: "It won't be difficult to regain our momentum. "We are disappointed but have to put the result into perspective. We have to go to Wigan with the same confidence as we showed against United. "We held them at bay for more than 80 minutes. Okay, we didn't do much attacking but we defended very well. "We have to take the positives from this. We didn't get any points but we can go to Wigan with our heads up and win." Howard was beaten by Hernandez with just seven minutes remaining on Saturday but, as a former United keeper, he knows you can never afford to relax against the Red Devils. The United States international added: "It's heartbreaking to lose late on. But against teams like United, Chelsea and Arsenal, I don't know how many times I've been on the end of a late goal. "You always expect United to score late on. When I was here, you just knew that the goal would come."
