Holloway expects star duo to leave
Goalkeeper Gilks and midfielder Vaughan have both done well in their club's maiden Premier League campaign, but they are out of contract at the end of the season. Holloway therefore expects the duo, who earn £10,000 a week, to move elsewhere because Blackpool cannot match the salaries that could be on offer at other clubs. The Blackpool boss said in The Sun: "They've probably already played their way out of my team. "With the wages we pay, there's only so long I can hold them. "They can go and earn £120,000 and not give us a thought ever again." Holloway has also revealed that the Blackpool boardroom already want to clarify the future of Gilks and Vaughan, which could suggest they might be considering sales in the winter. Holloway added in the Daily Star: "The chairman has already told me he wants talks with David Vaughan and Gilks."
