Hodgson calm over Olsson future

The Sweden defender has 18 months left of his current deal at The Hawthorns and has decided to wait until next summer before making any decision on his future. Olsson will hang fire until after the European Championship finals next summer, although the 28-year-old has admitted he would like to join a title-chasing club. However, Hodgson is relaxed about the player's decision, saying: "Jonas Olsson is very happy at West Brom, that's obvious by his loyalty to the club and by the way he plays. "That he might harbour ambitions to move to one of the top four clubs in England, I don't think you could particularly hold that against him could you? "We would have to accept one day that, if he played so well for us each year, that one of the top clubs in the country or abroad are tempting him and prising him away, we'll have to live with that. "We've learned to live with all the other players we've lost in the same way over the years. "There's always that bigger flea out there to bite you. He's had serious discussions about extending his contract, he's got 18 months to go so he's here this season and next season anyway."
