Carlo Ancelotti is confident he will sign a contract extension with Real Madrid, although admits he is yet to receive an offer.

The Italian coach, who led Madrid to their record 10th European title earlier this year, is under contract for a further two years.

"I have a contract until 2016," Ancelotti told Spanish radio station RNE. "I don't know if I will renew it soon but I would like to.

"I have not been offered anything officially but I know that in the end we will do it."

Los Merengues lead the Primera Liga standings with a two-point advantage over Barcelona after 11 games played, and have already qualified for the Champions League last 16 after winning all of their group matches so far.

Ancelotti has enhanced his reputation as one of the best coaches in Europe at Madrid.

The 55-year-old moved to the Bernabeu stadium in June 2013 shortly after guiding Paris St Germain to the Ligue 1 title.

Ancelotti, who also led Chelsea to Premier League glory in the 2009-10 campaign, enjoyed most of his success during his eight-year reign at AC Milan.

He guided the Rossoneri to eight trophies, including a Serie A crown and two Champions League titles.
