Harry may return in three weeks

With the international break having brought domestic fixtures to a halt, Spurs are not due to be in action again until November 21. It is possible that by the time they take to the field for that contest, they will have their manager back alongside them. Redknapp missed Sunday's 3-1 victory at Fulham after undergoing minor heart surgery and it remains unclear how long he will be absent for. Doctors have advised that he spends four to five weeks away from football, but Bond admits there is a chance he could be back on the touchline before then. "Whatever the doctors say, he needs to take his lead from them," Spurs' assistant manager told Sky Sports News. "These people know best and he might have to take a little bit longer. "He's hoping that he will be back for our next game. I know initially that was his thoughts, that he would be back for the Villa game. If it needs to be longer, he will have to listen to those guys." For now, Bond, Joe Jordan and Clive Allen are overseeing proceedings at White Hart Lane and they are happy to continue at the helm for as long as Redknapp needs to make a full recovery. "That's what Joe, myself and Clive and the other members of the coaching staff will do," said Bond. "We will try and keep it going. Hopefully Harry will be back for our next game, but if he's not we will take our lead from him and try to do things in the same way as we always have done before. "The players know what is expected from them and all we will try to do is to keep things going as sweetly as we can do until Harry returns."
