Harry: Crouch still England class
Crouch has revealed his frustration at not even making the match-day squad for Saturday's Euro 2012 qualifying clash with Switzerland. Wayne Bridge and Paul Robinson have both retired from international football during Fabio Capello's tenure and Ben Foster has decided to declare himself unavailable for the foreseeable future. Redknapp struggles to understand why any player would choose not to play international football. Discussing Crouch and England, Redknapp told Sky Sports News: "It's been great for him playing for his country. "He's had a great run of it, the last few years. "So I don't see any reason he should want to pack up. "I'd encourage him to keep playing and keep wanting to play for England. "And all those lads, I don't see how they would want to give up their international careers." Redknapp added: "It's such an honour to play for your country, you'd think they'd want to play forever. "But if he asked my advice I would certainly tell him to keep playing, and if he's picked, play." Redknapp could be a contender to succeed Capello after Euro 2012, but stressed on Tuesday he "couldn't be happier than I am at Tottenham". The lure of England, though, is one opportunity which might tempt Redknapp, if the offer ever came. He said: "If you're English and you're offered the job - me or any other Englishman - you'd find it hard to say no I'm sure."
