Greuther Fuerth signs Denmark winger Mikkelsen

Promoted Bundesliga club Greuther Fuerth has signed Denmark winger Tobias Mikkelsen from Danish champion FC Nordsjaelland.

Fuerth says on its website that the 25-year-old Mikkelsen has signed a three-year contract with an option for a further year.

The clubs agreed not to disclose the transfer fee.

Fuerth president Helmut Hack says the Bavarian side had been working on the transfer for four weeks and ''we're very happy that our efforts paid off.''

Mikkelsen, who has played six internationals for Denmark, was set to begin training with his new club on Thursday.
