Gomes seeks first-team chance
Heurelho Gomes is ready to leave Tottenham following a loan spell with Hoffenheim in Germany's Bundesliga.
The Brazilian goalkeeper has not started a Premier League game for Spurs in two years, but he made nine appearances for Hoffenheim before a broken hand ended his season early.
The 32-year-old has one year remaining on his White Hart Lane contract, and is confident that his return to regular action in Germany could lead to a new deal elsewhere.
"Even though I only started playing in January, I showed I can play a high level," Gomes told Radio Gazeta AM.
"I will only stay at Tottenham if I can play. If I can't show my work, I will seek an organised team with a good project, be it in Brazil or abroad."
Capped 11 times by his country, Gomes still harbours hopes of an international recall.
"The goalkeeper is a matter of trust, and Scolari trusts in his current three goalkeepers.
"I can't deny they are great goalkeepers. Jefferson and Diego Cavalieri are having great seasons at their clubs, and Julio Cesar has done a lot for Brazil. But I still think I can be called up. If I have one better season, I can achieve that."
