Gervinho completes Roma transfer
Arsenal has announced forward Gervinho has completed his move to Roma for an undisclosed fee.
Gervinho had a medical at the Serie A club over the weekend and on Thursday Arsenal confirmed it had sold the Ivory Coast international. The 26-year-old forward spent two seasons at Arsenal after joining from Lille.
"Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Gervinho for his contribution to the club and wish him well for his future career," announced Arsenal on their official website.
After training for several days on his own while his transfer was completed, Gervinho is reportedly on his way to Washington, D.C., to link up with his new teammates on their preseason tour of North America. The Gunners also released a statement on their Twitter account:
