Germany will play Ivory Coast in a friendly on Nov. 18, replacing a match previously planned against Egypt.
The German football federation said Tuesday that Joachim Loew's team will face Ivory Coast, which like Germany already has qualified for the World Cup, in Gelsenkirchen.
The federation said the switch was necessary because Egypt's qualifying campaign may still be ongoing on the date the match was scheduled.
Loew said that the Ivory Coast team "brings together everything African football has to offer: technique, dynamism, creativity and passion, but also good discipline and tactical organization."
