A German football official has quit all his posts but again denies
allegations he had sexually harassed a young referee.
Manfred Amerell, a 62-year-old former referee, says he had a
close personal friendship with the younger man but that he had
never sexually harassed him.
The German football federation is investigating the
allegations. The DFB says Amerell's decision to resign from the
DFB's refereeing committee and step down from his role in the
Bavarian football federation was right and necessary.
