Garcia: Benatia will remain at Roma despite transfer rumors
Roma coach Rudi Garcia is confident highly-rated defender Mehdi Benatia will remain at the club.
Speculation continues to suggest that the Morocco international could soon be lured away from the Italian capital. Manchester City are said to have held an interest in the 27-year-old for some time, while Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked with a summer approach.
Roma, however, are adamant that Benatia is not for sale. They won the race for his signature last season as a deal was struck with Serie A rivals Udinese and Garcia is adamant that a friendly outing against Liverpool on Wednesday will not be Benatia's last for the Giallorossi.
He said: "He's under contract with us and for me he will be a Roma player this season. Mehdi is happy, motivated. He will play against Liverpool and there aren't any problems."
