Gallas: Smells like team spirit
Tottenham captain William Gallas praised the fighting spirit of his side after their come-from-behind 2-1 home win over Liverpool.
A week on from their dramatic comeback at Arsenal, Harry Redknapp's men did it the hard way again, recovering from Martin Skertl's first-half opener to take the points.
Skrtel inadvertently put them on their way with an own goal, with Aaron Lennon then netting the winner after Jermain Defoe had missed a penalty.
"It was difficult for us, we did a good job today," Gallas told Sky Sports 1. "We had to fight to win the game. It's the Premier League, when you play Liverpool it's not easy, we showed everyone what we can do and I hope we can carry on.
"I came here to play football and win games. I'm very happy, we're winning games with good spirit and with good players. We have to believe in ourselves and hope to win more games."
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp admitted that his men had ridden their luck before taking the points.
"They started well and were dangerous, it was a fantastic game," he said.
"Liverpool played their part, they were always a threat. They had opportunities to score again, they had good chances, we became disorganised.
"But we got after them a bit better, had shots blocked, missed a penalty and eventually managed to get the goal."
