Frear keen on new contract
Monaco goalkeeper Danijel Subasic has claimed the ambitious club are 90 per cent certain to sign Atletico Madrid striker Falcao.
The Croatian claims he has been told the striker will head up a major summer recruitment programme by the principality club's billionaire Russian owner Dmitry Rybolovlev, following their promotion back to Ligue 1.
Subasic told Croatian daily Sportske Novosti: "I'll tell you what I heard: Falcao is already 90 per cent Monegasque!
"He will appear in Monte Carlo in a few days and officially become our player.
"That's what they told us, with the only doubt being that he could sign for Real Madrid, which at the moment does not look likely.
"If he does not go to the Bernabeu, he will come to us in the principality. Let's wait for confirmation once it happens.
"I know the owner is not going to save, he has announced that in the summer he will spend more than 100million euros (?84.6m) on players."
Colombia international Falcao is third in the Primera Division scoring charts this season with 28 goals, behind only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and also scored twice in last season's Europa League final.
The 22-year-old played 30 times for Sailsbury this season as he helped them clinch promotion to the Blue Square Premier.
And the City youth product, who made four appearances for the first team, will meet director of football Steve Perryman this week to chat about his future with the League Two side.
"I'm not sure what the position is, as a lot of players have been leaving," he told the Express & Echo.
"I have spoken to Steve briefly and I have got a meeting with him in the week, so we will have to see how that goes.
"I love the club and everyone around the club and if I could stay then it would be brilliant, but if not then I will just move on and play my football somewhere else.
"I want to stay at Exeter and I want to be an Exeter player next season, but finances might not be able to make that happen.
"I've just got to speak to Steve and Tis (manager Paul Tisdale) and see what their plans for me are."
