Atletico Madrid insist Juventus have made no offer for Uruguay striker Diego Forlan.

Reports in Italy claim the Serie A giants are keen to acquire the services of the 31-year-old forward should they fail to sign Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko this summer.

But Atletico president Enrique Cerezo said: "There is nothing from Juventus. No-one has contacted us. There is absolutely nothing.

"We will not sell him."

Forlan won the golden ball award for the best player at the World Cup after leading Uruguay to fourth place. He is under contract with the Primera Division outfit until June 2013.

Another Atletico player reportedly attracting the interest of several European clubs is Sergio Aguero.

However, the Argentina international is under contract for another two seasons and has a buy-out clause of 60 million euros.

"We want him to continue with us and he wants to remain here," said Cerezo.

"However, if any club was to pay his buy-out clause, then we would need to ask the player as there would be little we could do about that."
