Fluminense stretches lead in Brazil

Leandro Euzebio and Fred scored before half-time as Fluminese beat Nautico Recife 2-1 to stretch their lead at the top of the Brazilian Campeonato standings to five points.

Euzebio scored after 42 minutes and Fred added a second three minutes later before Carlos Henrique scored a consolation goal with seven minutes to go.

Henrique Heleno (8), Buss Henrique (10) and Marcos Assuncao (68) earned Palmeiras a 3-1 win over Figueirense who scored through Aloisio.

Bruno Menezes Soares (2) and Serejo Leo Silva scored as Portuguesa defeated Santos 3-1, the home side scoring through Andre.
