Fletcher targeting unbeaten run

With only three wins in seven games in all competitions, Sir Alex Ferguson's side are having to endure a period of inconsistency. United had to settle for a draw against Birmingham last weekend after being knocked out of the FA Cup by League One Leeds. They are looking to get back to winning ways against Burnley at Old Trafford and Fletcher is convinced results will improve. "We need everyone fit and fighting towards the end of the season," he told the club's official website. "That is the most important thing, then we can kick on. "But there is a run in this team. We have been written off all season. We need to use all that as fuel." Fletcher attributed United's woeful recent run to the catalogue of injuries within the squad. He added: "It hasn't been the easiest of times. There has been a lot of disruption. "The injuries in defence have seen players playing all over the place, myself included. It is difficult to get a run of form when things like that happen. "We've not had a settled squad. It has been an injury-disrupted season. "We are still in touch, though, and that is all we could ask for." Fletcher, however, will sit out the Burnley game as he was sent off against Birmingham.
