Darren Fletcher has become the second Manchester United midfielder in 24 hours to sign a new contract with the Premier League club.

The 27-year-old Scotland international has agreed to a new four-year deal with United, tying him to the northwest club until 2015.

Friday's announcement came a day after Michael Carrick signed a new three-year contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until the end of the 2013-14 season.

Fletcher, who has won three league titles, the Champions League, an FA Cup and two League Cups since making his debut for United in 2003, has become one of manager Alex Ferguson's key players in recent seasons.
