Brazilian club Flamengo says it has signed Bolivia striker Marcelo Moreno on loan until the end of the year.
Moreno was released from Gremio this year after the club signed Argentine striker Hernan Barcos from Palmeiras.
The 25-year-old Bolivian was Gremio's top scorer last season with 22 goals, but he had been complaining that he wasn't getting enough playing time under coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo. He refused to move to Palmeiras as part of the deal for Barcos.
Moreno played for Brazil's under-17 and under-20 squads before deciding to play for Bolivia's senior team.

He previously played for Wigan, Werder Bremen and Shakhtar Donetsk.
